What Goods/Services Does SPORTident UK Provide?

  • We sell and hire SPORTident equipment to event organisers and events
  • Our SPORTident team provides scoring and results solutions at a huge variety of events – more than 150 each year
  • We provide Web Services, innovative solutions and bespoke software to help automate all aspects of event organisation
  • We develop, implement and support AttLog - our attendance logging solution for students on higher education courses

What Sort of People Are in Our Team?

Every member of our team takes part or has taken part in sporting events. We are all event organisers or have organised events in the past. We bring exceptional organisational skills to events and a quiet confidence under pressure that reassures an event organiser. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and our advice helps event organisers to develop and improve their own events.

We are good at working and communicating with organisations. We have strong interpersonal skills. We can embed ourselves in an organisation as part of their core team but are also natural leaders. We have the self-discipline and motivation to work independently on projects without supervision.

We all have science A levels and most of us are educated to degree level. We all have very strong literacy and numeracy skills. We all have a good understanding of Windows based computers and we use our own bespoke software - AutoDownload, Lapped Enduro, Live Event Monitor & Team Results Sheet. We also use standard applications which include MS Excel (strong skills required) and MS Word. We can network computers, also resolve networking and device connectivity problems. Some of us have strong software, database and web-based development skills.

Our work is part office based, part home based. It also includes travel worldwide with time spent in the Great Outdoors. We need to work flexible hours and this inevitably includes a significant amount of weekend work. We work long hours at events and take some time off in lieu. We find our work demanding, very satisfying and fun!

We are ambitious for our company and for ourselves. We all have a good level of fitness, are honest and sensitive to the needs of others, willing to learn and a have sense of humour. We cover for each other, look after each other and we care a lot about our natural environment.

Event Support Consultant South of England – 12 Weekends Per Year – POSITION FILLED

We are looking for an additional person based in the South of England to augment our team of 10 who currently provide the SPORTident Scoring and Results Service. This is predominantly weekend work and we would expect you to be available on an estimated 12 weekends between March -> October. We would prefer applicants who are already familiar with AutoDownload but strong candidates who have all the other skills listed above will also be considered. Training will be provided to augment existing skills and candidates will be required to work with members of our team at one or more events before they receive accreditation to provide our service. The area we would like you to cover is from the South West to the South East and North as far as the Midlands, so it would be ideal if you lived in the Newbury area! You will need access to a car. We will provide you with enough SPORTident equipment and computers to support small/medium sized events. Additional equipment will be provided as required.


Event Support Manager – POSITION FILLED

We are looking for someone who will manage the provision of the SPORTident Scoring and Results Service to more than 100 events per year worldwide. The service is predominantly provided at weekends. The salary package will contain an element determined by the volume of events supported and company profitability. The successful candidate will:

  • Advertise our services and receive enquiries from event organisers about our services
  • Liaise with events to understand their requirements and provide detailed information about the services we can offer
  • Manage the timetable of events and equipment/transport logistics
  • Arrange for appropriate members of the SPORTident team to provide our service at each event
  • Manage the handover of each job to the team member who is providing the service
  • Liase with our software development team to implement requests for future developments from customers
  • Provide the SPORTident Scoring and Results Service on a number busy weekends and at key events (see below)
  • Work part of the time with the AttLog Project Manager to address some parts of their job specification defined below


Attendance Logging (AttLog) Project Manager –POSITION FILLED

AttLog is in use at four universities. We are looking for someone who will manage and develop the roll-out programme for AttLog to colleges of Higher Education. For more information see www.sportident.co.uk/attlog/AttLogDB-Overview.pdf. The salary package will contain an element determined by volume of sales and company profitability. The successful candidate will:

  • Work with our software developer to implement requests for future developments from customers
  • Work with our software developer to document the product and create online documentation for the application
  • Develop a sales/maintenance pricing model for the product
  • Develop sales and marketing documents
  • Develop relationships with colleges of HE and create sales opportunities
  • Manage the installation of AttLog at customer sites, provide consultancy to obtain and load required start of course data onto the database, provide training to college administrators.
  • Develop, manage and help provide ongoing support for AttLog
  • Provide the SPORTident Scoring and Results Service on a number busy weekends and at key events (see below)
  • Work part of the time with the Event Support Manager to address some parts of their job specification defined above
