  • IMPROVEMENT: Read Punches Slave and Master now don't let you accidentally forget to save the punches. A Discard button is now provided for not saving on purpose.
  • IMPROVEMENT: Safety Check main screen now warns if no non-download punches exist - reminding you to read the backup memory of the start/pre-start stations.
  • IMPROVEMENT: Monitor Control (all versions) now shows any visible custom fields.
  • FIX: Combined Event start time calculator - when a course/class is having a block of starts relative to another course/class but the class is empty, then we now don't apply the "Gap" so you don't have double gaps in a chain of classes.
  • IMPROVEMENT: Single Stage Results and Print Single Stage Results - when stages can be done more than once and the "Runs to count" > 1 then these now both offer the choice of using the best single run, or the total of the runs to count.

  • FIX: Print Entries and Print Start List when pairs or larger teams are used, with either competitor specific SI-Card allocation or competitor specific bib numbers being used means that a row per competitor is printed. These rows had dissimilar width columns so didn't line up.

Results for old events will need to be recalculated. Until you have recalculated the results for these old events you will not be able to view them. When you click on an event you will be prompted to recalculate the results. Instead of recalculating the results one event at a time you can select Recalculate Results on All Events from the Actions button at the top of the Event List screen. Depending on the number of events in your database and the processing speed of your computer this may take a while.

Unfortunately, release 4049 contained an error to do with converting existing events. Results which previously had been non-finishers (disqualified in some way) were no longer showing as such. As part of the database structure update all existing events should have been flagged as needing recalculation, but this wasn’t done. This new release does this, but the downside is that any event that has been added or recalculated in the meantime will be flagged for recalculation even though it doesn’t need it. We unfortunately don’t have any clever way of distinguishing events that do and don’t need it. If you access any event in your database(s) it will immediately tell you that it needs a recalculation. Alternatively, you can recalculate the entire database in one go by selecting the “Action” from the top of the Event List screen, but this may take a long time depending on how many events you have. If you have an ongoing series you will need to recalculate all the events in the series for it to work correctly. We hope you accept our apologies for this error.

This is a major release with a large number of database patches

The release introduces the concept of Stage based courses (mainly for MTB Enduro and Downhill races). Multi-Run courses are automatically converted to Stage based courses when you view an existing event. Events that previously used Sub-Stage reporting should now use Stage based courses.

Having one method to define stage based courses will make the setup easier and remove the confusion about when you need to flag legs as excluded or not and where the stage name is added.

Sub-Stage Reporting has been renamed Activity Reporting and should continue to be used for Adventrue Races and for results such as King/Queen of the Mountains.

To avoid confusion with the word Stage we have renamed Multi-Stage Events to Combined Events with a Combined Event being made up of a number of Events rather than Stages.

The User Guide Help has had a major update to reflect the changes and is a very comprehensive document.  It also has multiple examples for setting up courses for MTB Enduro stage based events.
