Stations
Stations are used through the whole event to either record / update data on a competitor's SI-Card or to retrieve data from the card to update a results or safety system.
The number and type of stations required for an event is dependant on the size and nature of the event and what SPORTident is being used for.
Station Uses
Control Station - Used at a checkpoint to record that a competitor has visited (and their time), used to record a task being completed, used to record a start or finish time, used as a way of recording timeouts, used to record penalties for breaking rules or failing to complete a task, used to clear the memory of a SI-Card, used to confirm that the memory of a SI-Card is empty
Master Station - Used to download the data from a SI-Card into a computer, used in conjunction with a radio to provide data from a remote location.
Timemaster Station - Used to synchronize the clocks in other stations and to check battery power.
Sprinter Station - Used to capture times using an external time trigger e.g. a light bar to capture finish times.
Printout Station - Used in conjunction with a themal printer to produce times and results without using a computer.
